CarversIndia Trades LLP

A social enterprise based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Our goal is to create environmental and social change through revitalizing menstrual practices that are healthy, environmentally sustainable, culturally responsive and empowering. We produce and sell washable cloth pads made of bamboo charcoal (certified by PETA VEGAN and passed anti-bacterial testing by TUV Rheinland) We work to create awareness around menstrual health education and open dialogues on menstruation all along the way. The pads are manufactured by women at NGO PraveenLata Sansthan.

We work in the area of :

Education: We develop educational resources and work with schools, NGOs, tribal communities, factory workers, laborers, slum and street-living women and many more facilitating educational programs that foster a responsible, healthy and dignified menstrual experience for girls and women.

Employment & Empowerment: We assist marginalized Indian girls and women in self-help groups to earn by stitching reusable washable menstrual pads which are ethically traded and support girls’ education to continue their studies as they have previously dropped out of their education due to financial and social barriers.

Environment: We produce and promote reusable cloth pads. Our pads are a sustainable menstrual product available for women across India which is cost effective and affordable. Pads are available for sale nationally and internationally. Profits generated from these sales help sustain the Pad Project.

 

Not-for-Profit Work

Our not-for-profit outreach work through “MeraPad Cares My Dignity Kit”, sold nationally and Internationally, One pad is donated to a vulnerable girl or woman, having no access to sanitation, to address the needs around menstruation as a part of the social enterprise initiative  “MeraPad-Meri Saheli” Program.

How We Work

We are a team of passionate women working together to create the future we dream of.

Our work is evenly divided between not-for-profit activities like education and research, and commercial activities to market and sell our pads.

Volunteers, interns, and ambassadors around the world support the MeraPad Project by joining us in regular intervals.
